Heraclon Publishing Audiobook Recording Studio Over a stretch of five days, I spent three hours at a time reading aloud in the soundproof recording ‘closet’ which reminded me a bit of the size of my recruit term room at RMC. The amount of energy it took each day was incredible. Hats off to professional audiobook narrators. My Sound Engineer, Aaron Corbett, was the kindest, most patient sound engineer imaginable. I’m not sure how many times I said, “Shit. Sorry. Let me try that line again.” And then. “Shit. I know I can get it. Give me one more chance.” But it was MANY. Aaron was always supportive. Thank you, Aaron, you’re the best! I’m on a break. The top tips given to me before arriving in the studio were to drink lots of water in the weeks ahead to hydrate my lungs and to wear a scarf as often as possible in general but definitely during recording sessions. Our wrap photo and farewell. I’ve had word from Aaron that the final cut after editing was sent to Heraclon Head Office and didn’t have a single ‘pick-up’ or correction. So my Audiobook is currently in final production and should be available literally any day now! Stay tuned. Kate ArmstrongMarch 5, 2020Comment Facebook0 Twitter Pinterest0 0 Likes
