Taghum Hall Harvest Festival Market Living in a small town has its perks. I count Harvest Festival at my community centre high on my list. We’re lucky enough to live where people still like to gather and enjoy community time despite our ever busier lifestyles. Rachel and I were ‘hawking’ our books to local readers…and catching up on all the news. Inside, besides our Kootenay Author Book Table, there were booths for local wood workers, artists, jam and sauces, yarn and knit items, handmade cards and calendars, jewelry, farm supplies, lotions, potions, and all manner of handmade goodies… Outside there were booths for the local farmers produce, meat, homemade ice cream, cakes, pies, and baked goods…. …but however you slice it—a good time was had by all!
